  • Kubernetes. It doesn’t matter which cloud, managed vs unmanaged, or on-prem. If it’s Kubernetes, Thoras has your back! Thoras supports the five most recent upstream Kubernetes minor versions. See the support policy.
  • Kubernetes metrics server. Thoras reads live resource usage from the metrics server. Most clusters already have it.
  • A Persistent Volume. For production-grade predictions, Thoras requires a Kubernetes persistent volume. Note that a PV is not required for a demo or trial context!
Thoras is extremely lightweight and a small install runs on about 2 vCPU. Forecast capacity scales itself as you enroll workloads. See Forecast worker capacity for details. Clusters with 5,000 or more enrolled workloads should review Tuning for Large Clusters.

Optional integrations

  • cert-manager, to provision the admission webhook certificates declaratively instead of via Helm hook Jobs. Recommended for GitOps. See Webhook TLS with cert-manager.
  • Cilium, if you want the chart’s network policies rendered as CiliumNetworkPolicy. Standard NetworkPolicy works with any capable CNI. See NetworkPolicy.
  • An OIDC identity provider (Okta, Azure Entra ID, or any OIDC-compliant provider) for dashboard single sign-on. See Dashboard authentication.
  • A private container registry, if you’re running in an air-gapped environment or prefer to mirror Thoras images internally. See Private Container Registry.
