# System Requirements

* **Kubernetes**. It doesn't matter which cloud, managed vs unmanaged, or
  on-prem. If it's Kubernetes, Thoras has your back!
* **A Persistent Volume**. For production-grade predictions, Thoras requires a
  [Kubernetes persistent volume](./advanced-setup#persistent-volumes). Note that
  a PV is not required for a demo or trial context!

Thoras is extremely lightweight and basically runs on one vcpu. See
[Configure Worker Capacity](./advanced-setup#configure-worker-capacity) for more
details.
